Exam nerves Ever had those butterflies in the stomach and the worrying thoughts like: "Will I get the right questions?"; "I wish I had done more revision". Or you have done all the revision but suddenly your mind goes blank and the exam questions are all gobbledegook. These are signs of exam nerves and stress that may be familiar to you. You do need a certain amount of nervous tension to perform to the best of your ability, but too much anxiety can block thoughts and make your mind go blank.
